Event Time and Date
Festival director Tom Flaherty welcomes guest composers and performers to feature works that weave electronics into the tapestry of music. This year’s afternoon event welcomes alumnus Ted Apel '90 and his installation "Resonant Chambers" in Lyman Hall at 4 p.m.
The evening concert, at 8 p.m. in Lyman Hall, features performers Rachel Rudich, shakuhachi, Cynthia Fogg, viola and Roger Lebow and Tom Flaherty, cello performing music by Brian Ciach, Karlheinz Essl, Tom Flaherty, Jim Franklin, and Frances White.
The festival is named for Vladimir Ussachevsky (Pomona ’35), a pioneer in the field of electronic music and co-founder of the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center in New York.
All events are free and open to the public.
